I noticed all the windows were open at the school when I dropped by the other day. The office does have a/c.

From what I have seen, only the office has air conditioning in all the school buildings in our district.
I remember someone writing the paper wondering why they couldn't do school through the summer, and have school closed in the winter months, because of the snow leading to school closings. And someone replied it is too hot in the school during the summer months. Air must cost more than heat.

The school I went to, the office had a/c that they ran during the summer when the secretary is there. They don't really need a/c anywhere else because school is out for the summer.

Yes, thank goodness! Even though school is out for summer, we have more warmer months than cooler months, so a/c is a necessity in southern schools.

I never even thought of this as an issue. I thought all schools would have a/c. all of ours do here and when they go out there is no school but we live in TX and it is hot here until Jan and then my the end of March winter is over so I guess we have to .

On another note when they built our new addition they made the windows where they don't open. I guess since we don't use them maybe it was cheaper?
