My 7 year old ds tells everything to everyone - things that are just non essential or inappropriate. He is a very excited kid and I understand that he just wants to share his excitment. But how do I get him to understand that there are some things you just do not need to share with other friends, people, neighbors, etc?????

Let me know if you figure it out. My 7 yr. DS is the same way. I think it makes him feel important.

I dunno either. My five year old likes to be the entertainment coordinator. Not only does she tell everyone her life history but she invites them to the park or over to our house.

He invites them over for dinner too!

Depending on what it is, maybe tell him what is said in your house stays in your house. I'm not saying it will work, though!

I have one of those....I remind him that there is personal stuff and other stuff...other stuff can be shared outside our home, personal stuff can not.
