We're getting out of here in a few minutes to go to the park. I have to get out of this house.

At 7:30 am my five year old proclaimed she was born (she meant bored). I'm like give me a break, I haven't woken up yet.

Forget the toys, activities, whatever. They are just running around squealing. Even when they are not fighting the noise level is too high for me. I'm thinking it is bad parenting to walk around with my ipod... LOL. Our weekends are so busy on the water they don't know how to act without constant entertainment.

That is my non-school vent for the day... how is it going at your house?

terrible!

I Knew It would Be Bad ... But NOT this Bad

And I Have 3 to entertain ! All while trying not to Use too much Gas or Money.
Not that I Don't still spend money ... But I Used to Put them in the Car and go to Mc d's Or the Mall Two three times a week , Just to Get away from here.
So I Know that Needs to Stop.
We Do Have activities planned and We Do stuff ... Just not 24/7 -
I Am starting to think that Because we Show them a Good time and they Know we Can be Having fun ... It Makes them worse on Down time.

Also My Oldest son has a Couple friends who are all away On Vacation these past Few Weeks...
I Am Counting the Days For BTS - You Betcha!

Also I Don't think An Ipod is Bad Parenting... LOL - Heck , I Wish alot Of moms knew enough to Tune the Kids out To keep their Cool.
I Have Locked myself in the bathroom Before.

Me, too! LOL

I had to take my two year old to her room yesterday and shut the door. She wouldn't stop screaming and I just couldn't take it.

I know what you mean, I have been trying not to go anywhere either. However, I think we all feel better now that we got out of the house. I packed snacks and drinks so we didn't buy any food. I went to the outlets and got my oldest dd new shoes and some clothes from TCP.. Monster sale. We stopped at the playground on the way back, went to the dr's office to pickup school paperwork, went to the school and handed in the paperwork. I think I wore them out. My two year old happily went to bed for a nap today!

Sorry for venting... I really do love my children

Your post reminds me of probably my favorite commercial. i think it's Ikea. The kids are being loud and carrying on and fighting and the mom says ok that's enough, someone needs a timeout. Then she goes into her room and shuts the door and grabs a book. That's how I feel sometimes!!! Moms need timeouts!

I feel your pain. I have 4, plus the neighbor girl that comes over all the time. On top of that we live in the middle of nowhere, I used to take the kids for walks and bike rides but now that I've hurt my knee I'm supposed to take it easy and rest it.

Thankfully I can shoo the kids outside to play and they keep themselves entertained for a few hours. I can sit on the porch, with my leg propped up and watch them play.

I agree - love them dearly, but if we aren't "doing something" they are bored or the TV goes on and drives me nuts!! We've been off not even 2 weeks yet and we've managed to keep busy on a shoestring, but already I am running out of ideas.... and did I mention that they are "BORED"

At least I don't have my leg propped up, you poor thing!

That is another thing, my oldest is petrified of bees and is driving me nuts when we are outside. Oh the joys of motherhood

I know it's common for parents to not enjoy summer vacation but I think I like it more than the kids. The pools, beaches, parks, etc. There is so many fun things to do and no schedule. I LOVE it!
