Where is everyone? I see very little people posting here about School Aged Kids. Even though it is taking some time to get used to, Please don't stop posting about your School Aged Kids here!! If this just becomes an a forum with only infant/toddler posts, ...

For what it is worth, this site is by far the best one I've found in over 6 years about parenting All ages of kids. My ds has grown up with the help of MommySavers moms!

I don't want to go elsewhere!!

I think a lot of school aged parents are entertaining them at home right now and haven't been on here as much. I'm sure it will pick up in late August!!

Life is hectic around here lately so I haven't been posting much. The kids got tons of activities going on (to which I am chauffer), I am working on home improvement projects and dh is home recovering from surgery.

Summer is fun so far. The 14 year old is doing a whole lot of nothing this summer. My 12 year old will be taking a babysitting course and has started to volunteer at the SPCA with me. My 11 year old had a "abnormal" mole removed and will be going to a science camp next week. My 7 year old has been in two art camps already. We also threw in a trip to the Georgia mountains for a week. That is what this school aged bunch has been up to lately! I hope everyone else's children are enjoying their summer!

Even though I have 5 school aged kids (and 3 not in school yet).......I HATE that the older kids have been lumped into the new section of the board

I think that the specialized older kid section needed to stay a stand-alone section.

The older our kids get, the busier we get and it was nice to be able to click right on the correct section, instead of having to look for a school aged thread.

Yes! I'm having the same problem at my house!

Actually, since we've meshed the forums together, I've noticed that people are mostly posting about their kids than about their family (ILs, parents, etc.). Plus, with kids being out of school right now, there's probably not as much to talk about as when they're in school (homework, dealing with teachers, etc.)

And just wait -- I'm sure we'll have the inevitable, long thread about school supplies, how much teachers need, the cost, etc. Happens every year.
