How much tv do your children watch a day?

My older ds loves to watch tv. He watches only two or so hours a day. If he could have it his way he would watch it all day.

Younger ds only likes to watch tv when a good movie is on. Otherwise he could care less. He rather be outside.

Quite a bit. It doesn't seem to have hurt them.

It depends on the day. They do probably watch a couple hours or more on days when we're mostly at home. My daughter (age 8) is more into TV than my son (age 4). He has always been better at entertaining himself.

on the average day all they watch is the news with me
there are days where they are watching all day tho like this week when oldest dd was not suppose to go out (dr's orders due to allergies and having a nasty cold) and I let them cause it was soo nice out and if I didnt she would just get too bummed about havig to stay inside! so I let them have a treat to watch !! otherwise like I said none unless a special movie is on and we watch as a family!! tho Dh and I watch WAY too much and I dont want the kids to take after us.

2 hours or less. Ds always watches his pbs shows in the morning as I wake up and take care of breakfast, etc (caillou, curious george, 1/2 of s street with elmo's world). Some days he gets to watch a show like Little Bear after nap as he is waking up, depends on the day. We try to focus on listening to music, playing outside, reading books and getting out for activities instead.

On average about 40 minutes. We have Tivo and when you fast forward the fluff in between it comes out to about 40 minutes total.

During the school year, dd hardly watches television. During summer vacation, she watches quite a bit of television.

Our T.V. is on all day. Its like background noise. the kids watch cartoon most days and then we have it on the music stations that come with dish network. I really don't limit their t.v. time as long as their chores are done.
