Will your K child be riding the bus, carpooling or will you be taking him or her to and from school.. Walking or car?

I will drop all 4 boys (K, 3rd, 4th & 6th) off on my way to work and then they walk home after school. We only live a few blocks from the school. Right now for the summer program, I walk them there and back everyday.

We only live about 3 blocks from DD's school so we will walk most of the time.

5th grader will take bus but I will probably have to drive her to the bus stop as it will be a central location for those in the area.

elem kids will both bus and carpool. in winter we will probably carpool due to new school hours.

I drop them off at school because I have to get out and "drive" them up to the bus stop anyway so that way they can get and extra 1/2 hr of sleep. Last year ds rode the bus home and since dd's Kindergarten will be all day I am hoping she will be willing to ride the bus home, too. It is so congested at the school come 3pm! They are the first stop so it is not a long ride.

I will be bringing DD in my car. Her school is K-8 and I remember what it was like being a little kid with all those bigger kids on the bus. Kids just aren't supervised.

Even though my K and 1st grader will be going to two different schools (both in the opposite direction) I will be taking them to school myself. Our house isnt right on the street so they would get dropped off on the street and than have to walk about 100-150 feet to the house. Not far but I would feel better if I just dropped off and picked them up myself. I know, talk about an over protective mother. But next year since they would be at the same school, they would be on the same bus so than I will let them do the bus if they want to.

I drop them off and pick them up. Even if they could take the bus I wouldn't let them.
