My DS has 25 kids in his class. One teacher and a very very part time aid. We pay 2500 per year. Just this classroom in 20 percent of the school population! I think they can and must hire a full time aid.

How many kids in your kindergarteners class? Any aids? Any special needs?

I am not happy with the school and i will be going to the principal. i do not feel this is fair. The grade with only 8 students has one teacher, thats a little better ratio!!!

She attends public school. 20 children. No aide assigned to her room. However, they have a staff of aides that work the school.

DD attends public as well. There are a total of 18 kids, however Sept - Nov they divide them into two groups that attend E/O day, so she currently has 9.

Does that make sense??

19 students...one teacher and an aid. Plus many parent volunteers.

We only have one class in each grade too.

I think E/O is every other - I could be wrong though.

DS had 20 kids in his public school class. 1 teacher, 1 aid that was there only for "center" time plus a TON of parent helpers during "center" time as well. On most days there was two or three parents for the hour and twenty minutes of centers. He was half day kindergarten (8:30am-11:55am). There was one SN child, but the program he was in either came into the class to observe him or took him out to the SN room if needed.

I would not be happy with the ratio in your class either, Good luck!

I teach Kindergarten and there are 20 in my class and a full time aide. That is pretty much what I average every year but one year....about 7 years ago I had 29 and an aide. LONG, HARD year for everyone.

I think we have 20 in the kindergarten class. There is a teacher and an Assitant at all times. The class maxs out at 25. We can turn students away since we are a charter school.

There's 21 in my daughter's class with a part time aid. I'm grateful for a half day program in our district - I know of a couple other kids who are having a hard time dealing with full day kindergarten
