I wish my dd could walk to school. We live 6 miles away from her school plus we have to cross at a dangerous intersection at a busy highway, so unless we move closer to her school I doubt she'll ever get to walk there.

I walk the kids and pick them up everyday. Can you send some of that cold down here?

They built a new 25 million dollar school 1/4 mile away from us for grades 4 and 5 a few years ago. The school is off of a main street (busy, but not that busy) and the street has no sidewalks, even though there is PLENTY of room for them (we're on the main street). Technically, there are supposed to be no walkers to the school. I think it's the dumbest think I've ever heard. I can't wait until they try to charge for bussing here and people scream because they want their kids to walk to school but there are no sidewalks.
