I took him to the doctor yesterday and he's got scabies. It was just starting when I had him to the doc the first time so it was hard to see, but afterwards, it went to the hands and feet and waistline. He's got some cream for it and she gave him a prescription too.

I'm so glad we finally figured out what was wrong. I feel bad for him because he was itching so much at night and loosing sleep.

I hope he starts feeling better soon. My two oldest have had huge itchy rashes (allergy related) that lasted weeks and made them miserable. It's hard to see our children so uncomfortable and not be able to do something for them asap.

I had that when I was a kid, caught it from another kid at school. They recommended oatmeal baths to help with the itching. I remember that helping a lot.

UGH! I'm happy to see that Doctor Aliadam diagnosed it right, but sad to see that that is what it is. I think I told you before that one of my friend's children had it and they ended up having to treat everyone in the family several times before they could finally get rid of it. My friend was VERY frustrated dealing with it. Hope the treatment goes better for you!!!

Yes, we have to wash everything he has worn, used, slept on, EVERYTHING... even the cars and furniture that he has used has to be sprayed with a certain kind of spray.

No one has it here ... like I said in the original post, his dad, his dad's girlfriend, and a bunch of neighbor kids and one mom got it so it must've been there....

OH, and the doctor said that my ds DID NOT give it to the other people, like the girlfriend said, he had to get it from someone else.

I also found out from my ex-h the reason why his girlfriend was saying it was mrsa was because his friend's girlfriend works at the health department and said that MRSA was going around.
