weird to see my name in this topic eh?

hey gals, i want a small little basic book for each of my daughters though i have absolutely no desire to do it myself.
my moms club has a scrapbooking group and i asked the leader if anyone would be willing to do a few pages and i would pay them.

all i got in response is "well, there are easy pages that take 15 min and difficult pages that take up to an hour" and "its a personal thing so it wouldnt really work for someone to do it for you"

is this odd? im asking for them to *charge* me! i just like the look of scrapbooking but have no desire to do it myself! am i missing something here that they didnt jump at my offer?

crazy kelly--this is what i do...literally! i work at a scrapbook store and we do customized scrapbooks. people bring us stuff and we scrap it!

my boss charges $10 an hour for labor plus materials. and it does depend on what you want--we can do a simple block page in 10-20 mminutes or more involved ones could take an hour.

pm me if you want more info.

Most people will charge you and arm and a leg to scrap a book for you. I've not done it for anyone other than myself. What about a simple book like with photo corners and simple journalling to tell who what where when etc??

I've done two for other people...one as a gift and she loved it and I did one for MaDuncan's sister's wedding shower. *I'm not sure why she would say that unless she just didn't want to be bothered with it...it's not like someone else will be writing in it...scrappers leave journaling blocks so the book can be personalized. *Some people charge by the page, some by the hour. *Here's a link to pictures of the two I've done for others....

I have seen pre-made scrapbooks at Wal-Mart and at Dollar General. You just put your pictures in the little spots that are open for pictures. You could always make a simple book yourself. It's not hard at all.
