Not a stupid question at all...I was just thinking today that I have some thin chipboard that came out of some scrapbook paper pkgs. and I can Sizzix stuff out of them...but was wondering what I'd use to paint it.

Anyone paint their own chipboard? What kind of paint?

What about mat then with cardstock and use stamps or rub on's. I just saw some in a magazine where they used rub on letters and spelled words out.

I usualy cover mine with paper, but I'm sure you could use paint, I just don't know what kind. Stamping them would be cute too.... Just use you imagination and have fun! Just make sure you post pictures when you're finished

Oh and BTW this was not a stupid question!

I use chip board letters all the time! They are on most of my pages. (The "Gimme a Break" "A" is a chipboard letter.) I usually always cover mine with paper too. You can paint them. Making Memories makes some acrylic paint.

When I paint them I use MM paint, or Heidi Swapp, or the cheap stuff at Walmart or craft store

Dye based inks work well. I personally LOVE using the Cats Eye Chalk inks myself!
