Ok now that you all have given me such great ideas for a wedding invitation for my MIL my next question is, What is the best way to print on vellum? I feel if I run it through the printer it will get jammed because it is so thin.

It shouldn't jam in the printer...but you HAVE to be sure to print them ONE copy at a time or they'll smear when they slide out on top of each other. Lay them out and let them dry a little while before touching them, too.

Yup I print on mine all the time. and you do have to let them dry for a minute of so.

You can also buy (from Office Depot type of store) printable vellum that is made to run through the printer. It is even cheaper than buying vellum from a scrapbook store. I have printed on vellum many times and never had a problem.

I bought some at Staples for my mother's wedding invites and it does say acid-free/lignin free on it. It was $9.99 for 50 sheets.

Wow! I'm a total idiot, I thought I was getting a great deal when I could find it for 49 cents a sheet! That's an awesome tip~I never thought about the office supply stores.
