Question Question about using/organizing scraps...

I have SO many scraps that most of the time I don't even bother sorting through to see if there's anything in there that I can use and I end up just cutting a whole new piece of cardstock or paper. Is there a better way to organize them? I just have them all stuffed in one space right now...I know there's gotta be a better system. How does everyone else organize theirs?

I put all my scraps in a ziplock bag and when I need something I just grab the bag and look through it. I'm sure there's more organized ways to go about it but I just don't have space for my scrapbooking things.

Right now I have them in the front pocket of an expandable file folder. I put my 8.5x 11 paper sorted by color in the other pockets. I have no idea how else to do it. I do frequently look to see if I have a color. Most of the time if the girls are up they get most of the scraps to use for their pages.

I have a TON...Maybe I should just challenge myself to use up all of the scraps at once...as in, when I finish a page or a layout, I should go ahead and use the scraps to make a couple or so cards?!
I've even sold scraps on eBay!!

I just packaged 99% of mine to go to the yard sale! If they don't sell there, I will prob give them to someone else. I suggest going through and see which ones you "really" think you will use. Also, save your white CS seperately so that you can use it for stamped images

I use an expandable accordian folder for my scraps. They are separated by specialyt papers, neutrals (need to work on this one!), then by color, then stripes/polka dots, nature, misc., and holiday! HTH

This is the method I use also and it works great. I try and ALWAYS look in my scrap area first for a color and then go to where I store the full sheets of cardstock!!!

I don't have much paper. But I like this idea of storing my 8.5x11 paper. THANKS
