Actually my dh family has a very respectable carnival. It is almost all family run except for a handful of hired help. It is kind of a neat experience....although it is a nightmare taking a handful of little ones to a new town each week and try to teach them new boundaries and when you teach them not to play on the street and you house trailer is set up on a street...it gets a bit difficult! Last year and this year I was able to stay home for most of the summer. I will be going with them for the month of August because they are going to be at the northern part of Wisconsin and dh doesn't want to be away from us for that long. For most of the summer he is pretty close though this year so we only go a couple of days here or there without seeing him. I kind of like it though...when you have some time away from each other you seem to have more of an appreciation for each other.
