Ok...so it can be repaired, but it's old anyway. I use it A LOT for printing titles, journaling, etc. for my scrapbooks and for my print on cards too. It's so old that my print cartridges were super cheap ($3-$4 on Printpal.com) and it's a Canon i250 "bubble jet" printer...whatever that is? Anyway, the error message is that the "used ink tank is full" and I either have to have it serviced or get another one. *sigh* And I really like my printer. I don't know how much to have it serviced...Canon's website says the nearest service center is in Nashville...over an hour away.

Any ideas for another super cheap one with super cheap ink cartridges??

That really stinks. I don't know of any cheaper printer that are great. I have a LexMark one and the ink is alittle more than I wanted to spend both I love it and it is worth it.
Sorry I can't help you any but if I hear of one I will let you know.
Just wanted to let you know that I feel for you.

Check out Outpost.com to do some comparisons, and Best Buy.com and CircuitCity.com. Outpost.com is actually Fry's Electronics.

Also, go to Best Buy and see some demos and get hands-on comparisons. HPs pretty much the standard, but many others are comparable. These days, due to the lower price-points, they are meant to be throw-aways and aren't worth repairing; that's how HP looks at it (I used to be an HP line buyer).

I can go to my Mom's and use hers until I get a new one, but it's just a pain not having one right here to come to anytime.
