I am wanting to begin scrapbooking since both kids will be in school. I am in Pigeon Forge and I noticed there is a huge Scrapbooking store with a clearanced part (additional store). My question is; what would be good for me to purchase to begin this hobby. I haven't been in the store yet, because I wanted to get your opinions and I know me, I will buy everything in site not knowing what would be best. Thanks for any and all help.

Oh Julie - I am so jealous of you right now!! I LOVE THAT PLACE!! I won't be there until February!!

Anywho - you want a good cutter, good scissors, good adhesive, and then it's a free for all from there. Just think of your page layouts in your head and what you want to do!!

A WORD OF ADVICE - GO TO THE CLEARANCE CENTER FIRST!!!! That was the mistake that I made. They have just as much but make sure you have time on your hands for that.

Ok, Jen, what are you talking about when you say a cutter. Is this like a paper cutter you would use in an office? Keep in mind, I have never done this. What would you consider to be a good adhesive? What would be good prices on this stuff? Did this place have good prices?

Cutter- I recommend a 12" Fiskars personal trimmer. Just ask a sales lady.. she'll show you. Its for cutting card-stock and stuff.

Tombo Permanent Tape Runner is what I use and think is the best adhesive.
