I think I am going to make up sets of 12 cards for each of my kids teachers...one for each month of the year...and wrap them in some sheer material with the envelopes included, tie it up with a bow, and give them as teacher Christmas gifts. What do you all think? Would that be an okay gift?!?

That sounds like an awesome idea. As an assistant teacher myself, it would be a much appreciated gift that could surely be used. And not something that would be a dust collector.

What a great idea! If I were a teacher I would love to get something handmade like that.

Can I use that idea too? I was toying with a set of the same thing but personally I buy pkg of cards that are the same and use one or two out of the pkg. I hadn't really gotten into cards until we started swapping, I mean the making aspect What an awesoem idea! I was just trying to think of a teacher gift today!

I kind of did this last year for my ds teachers. But I made a little stationary set, some cards I stamped and envelopes(also stamped) put it in a little basket with homemade hot coco and a mug.(a pretty one I had never used).

It was a big hit.!!! I like the idea of a card for every month. I might need to look at that for this year..

Very cute idea. I know that everyone likes to have things made. It's like you care enough to think of them and take the time.

Very cute idea!! What about putting in a few extra birthday cards since they are the most popular. JMO

My friends mom teaches 2nd grade and she showed us a set of thank you cards a student had given her. It was really cute, it was a set of cards and a little holder that was made to go with them. I would imagine thank you cards would be very much appreciated since I know my neighbor who is a kindergartent eacher writes a thank you card to every student and I would imagine many do.
