I have been bored out of my mind tonite and started making pages--with out pics yet. They kinda seem to look better. Usually I take the pics and try and figure out what background would look better. But I think I will try this for a while and just see how it works out.

Funny you posted this. I actually just got done making 2 8x8 books premade. One for my best friend for her Dog. and then one that I just thought the colors (green/pink) were cute and started making pages. I really like them and am thinking they might sell really well.

I layout my whole 20 page scrapbooks with paper, cardstock, stickers, brads, etc. and the pictures and just start putting page after page together. I find it works better that way and I get the pictures in the scrapbook I want them to be in. I do not premake the pages, however, laying out the whole scrapbook first works best for me.

I have only done a few for myself premade, but I think it would be the perfect way to be SURE you capture pics that you want. Do the pages and then take the pics to go with the pages! I love doing premade ones for gifts. I have three going right now!

I like doing them for gifts but for mine I prefer to start with the pic.

I was at a baby shower once and we premade a bunch of pages for the mom-to-be, but I prefer to make mine with the picture. I do a lot of cutting and matting freehand so it would be hard for me to have to fit the picture to the page instead of the page to the picture. Just personal preference probably.
