I have been asked to teach stampin classes at a local Michael's store! I have said no before, but thought I might try it to see how it goes. I went in today to talk about things and brought samples which they LOVED! Within an hour after returning to my real job, I received a call saying it was a go. She wants to put me on the calendar for 4 days each month to start. I don't get to use my Stampin' Up! sets, but I am able to pass out business cards so it could still generate new customers for me at a later date. She was going to call the classes "Cards & More" (which, by the way, she ALREADY had a sign posted when I arrived!) and she asked me for a better name and I said "Stamping Stuff" would be best since I want to do more than just cards. They already have someone who teaches scrapbooking, but likes that I can step in if needed! I am going back tomorrow to pick up my "black board" which I need to decorate to be displayed in the class room to generate interest from other classes.

Oh I am so happy for you it sound like a good time. I wish I didn't live so far away. I would love to attend some of your classes. Oh well I guess I will just have to learn from your cards you send in the card swap.lol

Let us know how things go at your first class.

As I entered Michaels store this weekend, I came upon my DD and DS showcased on the display tables! I gave them a paperbag album of my DD and an accordian card of my DS as examples. My DS was SO excited to see himself and his little sistered displayed! I was also told that they have 5 people already interested in signing up for my classes once the dates are set, hopefully by the end of the week.
