Okay, I'm going to start a scrapbook for Simon.

I have bought my book, some paper to start out, glue etc. But I haven't bought any scissors yet. My question is this....

At Michaels they have a tub of I think it was 12 pairs of scissors for $10.00, but I'm wondering if the quality is good. Or should I just buy a pair at a time of the individual ones. What is a pair that you seem to use over and over?

Fiskars is kind of a standard, and they make multi paks with different cutting edges and sizes.

To tell you the truth, I bought all kinds of edger scissors when I first started scrapbooking and I never use them. If I could do it again, I would skip the scissors and invest in a good 12X12 trimmer and a good circle/oval cutting system. I have the creative memories system and I couldn't live without it! I also love their corner rounder. These are expensive but worth it!
Good luck with your new hobby!

IMO those patterned scissors are crap! Get yourself a nice pair to cut & trim items with. I, too, bought a bunch of those patterened scissors when I first started scrapbooking and they only made me waste paper by trying to cut everything even and eventually cutting all my paper! Live and Learn ~ you will find things you prefer that others do not like.
