Hi, has anyone found the Michael's employees to be EXTREMELY rude about their coupons lately? Dh and I went there yesterday and I bought new pads for the cricut and I KNEW the coupon is no longer good on those and we got to the register and the woman snapped at me that I can't use the coupon. I told I know that because I can read and it IS on the coupon . However the other item I COULD use it on. She just said oh, well I wish cricut owners could learn this policy. I told her it's a NEW policy and some people didn't know probally! What a crank!

My mom won't go back after a Michael's employee was super ugly to her in Florida...and she said that she went home and called the manager AND emailed the company..and got the same response...RUDE. It was bad for her to call to begin with..she is not an aggressive person!!

i have also stopped going to Michael's..........I have had 2 encounters with rude employees....at 2 different Michael's.

When I first started scrapbooking I would go to my local Michaels which is right up the hill from my office quite often with the 40% off coupons to get my supplies. There were two ladies who were ALWAYS working the day and would try to give me a hard time using the coupons. I stood my ground and said I want to use them. One finally warmed up to me and the other one was still cranky when I saw her.

Well, I had been asked to teach stamping classes at the local store recently and was told I needed to meet with a certain lady. I showed up at the store to discuss the details with her and it was the cranky lady! Needless to say, she LOVES me now and I did tell her that she her attitude comes across gruff at times to customers. She didn't realize that she sounded like that, but appreciated that I brought it to her attention. I even told her a couple of my customers thought she was a piss pot!

In all fairness, they should not be rude to customers that is when they need to step away for a break. I have dealt with some really out there people with the association that I work for and it leaves me thinking................how do they even feed themselves in the morning?! Not an excuse, because they should not be rude, but I do know the feeling even though I don't act on my frustration with my members.

Wow....it is an epidemic! I can say that I have had it too with them and they lost me as a customer now. It's just not worth the hassle!

Unfortunately, we don't have a Michael's and I have to go to the one about 72 miles away when I'm in that area to take dd to the orthodontist. I've never had a problem there...yet. I don't get their sale ad, so when I go in, I'll ask if there is one that week and if there is, they let me fill out a little paper and get 40% off of an item. Makes you wonder how terrible the company is to their employees to make their employees act so terrible.
