I used to LOVE scrapbooking, and I still do...but I'm an "instant gratification" paper crafter, I guess, so lately I find myself doing more cards than anything else. I just cannot get motivated with the scrapbooking because I have to do the chronological thing with photos and such...

What do you find yourself doing more of?

How can I get myself more motivated to do more scrapbooking...I have four albums to work on...one for each child!!

I love to make cards - but I have to say that scrapbooking is still my favorite. A while back I got really burned out - more like stressed out - becuase I was so far behind in scrapping. I just decided to give myself permission to "not scrap everything." Now I scrap the pictures I want to and the rest goes in the photo albums. I have to say that scrapping has never been more fun! That's the way its supposed to be - right?!?

I am a perfectionist, and I want to scrapbook EVERY picture!!! I CAN'T do that!!!!!! I have given myself permission to throw away the fuzzy, out of focus, cut off heads, pictures, and keep the really good ones. My problems now is the absolute DISORGANIZATION that I am dealing with!!!! I really wish that I could barter scrapbook, other stuff for somebody to come in and help me get organized!!!!!!!! If I were organized then I could work on my scrapbooks little by little, and it wouldn't be so overwhelming that I don't want to even think about it, because I love it so!!!!

Card making has been my friend lately because I don't have as much "stuff" to get out, and it's pretty easily put back.

I did learn long ago that I can't scrap every picture. I have a photo box for each child..and I put all of the leftover pictures in there that don't get scrapped. They'll be able to take those with them when they leave home for good. They don't get the scrapbooks until I die! LOL

I love scrapbooking and honestly would do more but I am pacing myself with processing film. It's expensive and I have a LOT of film rolls to develope. I really enjoy making cards because they are a lot alike.

I'm the same way, perfect. I like to scrapbook but can't afford ALL those rolls of film at once! I do love cardmaking though and I have found myself putting my scrapbooks on the back burner!

I got so caught up in scrapbooking a few months back that I don't feel too guilty for taking a break. I know I will get rolling again..and get all caught up like I did last time. I still have a few to do, but overall, I'm not too bad off! Now, when I do go back, I will have to be catching up from CURRENT events. What I caught up on before was WAY past events...ones I had managed to forget about or got put to the side several years in a row!! LOL I do love the card making, though...it is instant gratification...and I can be creative AND frugal when I make gifts or make them to sell!!
