See what y'all made me go and buy? LOL Seriously, though, I was spending WAY too much time at the post office. I p/u'd a postage scale while at the PO the other day and LOVE it! Now all I have to do is weigh my stuff and go to USPS - The United States Postal Service (U.S. Postal Service) to calculate postage.

Also, ladies, with as much as we're mailing around, don't forget that you can get free shipping supplies from USPS - The United States Postal Service (U.S. Postal Service) as well. Just click on "supplies" on the lower left side of the home page, click on whatever you're looking for and the free stuff will say "no charge" below it instead of a price.

I bought it at the PO. It was on the wall w/all the framed stamps and whatnot.

Unfortunately, it was a bit pricey. They are $35-$40 but I figured as much as I run to the PO it would save me gas money in the end.

I love having mine! I got mine a couple of years ago on ebay for like $16. I don't use it much for stuff on here but more for when I sell things on ebay.

Thanks for the tip on the free supplies! I ordered some, so now I can fill them and drop them at the little mail center next to the grocery store and never have to go to the post office. Yea!

This might sound dumb but....when you weigh it do you just put them amount of stamps that you need or what do you have to do? And, do you just put the stuff in the mailbox? Crazy questions probably but I'd like to know how it works. I don't participate in swaps very much here because there's no way I can make it to the post office much. TIA for answering my questions.

I just add up the number of stamps. It's usually only about 4-6 stamps for the swaps on here. Yes, you can put large envelopes in the mailbox. Actually, I think you can sign up for free carrier pick-up of packages at USPS.com.

Thank you for the information Jess. Looks like it's well worth the investment in buying one.
