I just realized that I forgot to update y'all.

I sent my dad to apply at some income-based apartments a couple weeks ago and when he came back he told me that while they were processing his application, they looked and would have a 3 bedroom townhouse available at the end of that week! That was a Monday and on Thursday he went and signed his lease. I had assumed that he'd leave his kids here through that weekend while he settled in (b/c you know that's what I'd do) but he showed up here that Thursday after school and the kid told me they were here for their stuff. So, we got them all packed up and ready to move out.

My boys kept the set of bunkbeds I'd acquired to accomodate the other kids which freed up some room for most of their toys to go in their room. We moved Ian's toddler bed to the spare room to use like a settee (it converts to a full-size bed when the time comes) and the vanity dresser we used as a changing table in their as well. So now, when I get rid of one excess dresser and a mattress I'll have bunches of room in my front room (used to be the playroom) and DH knows I've been wanting to mount a countertop in their for ages!

So, not going to happen in the very near future but maybe in the next year or so, I'll be able to have (mostly) my own scrap room. The boys still have a small TV/DVD combo and a few toys in there but that just makes it easier for me to watch them!

About that scrappin' room... My stuff is in the game/play room and it works out great! I just have a 6 ft. folding table (40.00 at Target) and some plastic shelves (25.00 at Target). I can scrap while they play and/or watch movies. It works out great!!
