Today would be the 2nd week I have been on the scheduled to teach stamping at Michaels. The policy is to sign up & pay atleast 24 hours in advance of the class. I stopped in to pick up a few things with the 50% off sale yesterday and no one was officially signed up. So, I stop in again on my lunch today to get another 50% off item and the young cashier tells me that someone just called about my class and she told her to just show up with her friend tonight. UGH!!!!
I went to check the book for sign-ups because the cashier had a line behind me. Another cashier asked me what I wanted and I told her I noticed no names on the sign up sheet. I explained what the other cashier said to me and she said what do you want to do? I told her I didn't want to just cancel it, but I work until 5 pm and I have NOTHING with me to do! I explained about the 24 hours in advance and she just sighed and said so what do you want to do, cancel? I told her I didn't know what to do because I don't want to cancel, but there is no one written down and the other cashier did not get a name. She simply said it was up to me and just walked off.
I went to the office to talk to the one in charge and explained what happened. She was concerned that they said it was ok to sign up today when the class was scheduled for less than 4 hours from that time with no one else signed up since it has only been 2 weeks. She said she would be there tonight and let them know about the mix-up.
I just had to tell her that the other woman was rude to me and I would not let it go the next time. She said she would talk with the cashiers to make sure they know the policies and the person that was rude to me is just part-time and is leaving next week for another job.
SO, I am bummed that I had a potential class tonight (on my SECOND week to boot!) and I am not able to do it. She is going to offer them to come next week. Maybe I will keep a little bag in my truck on Thursdays for just in cases!
On a side night, I was asked yesterday to take over the crop nights once a month and I said I would try it. I can do anything I want for 4 hours! I am going to be trained on the Cricut machine tomorrow since I have only seen it in walking by it.
Here's to a full class next Thursday! :D
