I went to a scrapbooking yard sale today. Got about $200 worth of old style CM stuff (that's what I prefer) for $40. People were selling packs of paper and short cuts for $1, sticker packs for $1, page protectors for $1. I couldnt believe it. I could have bought a lot more!!!

I love scrapbook store yard sales - they are the best. My local store had their sale this weekend. I came home with a RIDICULOUS amount of paper and some fibers for a few dollars. So fun!!! My kind of shopping

My SU upline hosts one every year and it's always good. She collects all the stamps and accessories that her customers want to sell and holds a huge garage sale!

I went to a sale at a store in a neighboring town, and I promise some of the exact stuff in the yard sale could be purchased cheaper on the store shelves. I wasn't impressed. I decided to try the sale in my hometown this weekend, and I'm so glad I did. Most things were 25/50/75 cents. I got lots of fibers in a bag for 50 cents. I got some 12x12 paper packs with 50-75 sheets for $1 and $2. So... I've learned it just depends on the location as to if the prices are reasonable.

You definitley have to know your prices. I went to one yard sale where they were selling CM stuff for basically reg. price then another one where they were selling shortcuts for $1, stickers for $1, etc. Even at this yardsale prices varied from table to table. One person might be selling a pack of paper for $1 and another $5. Although if its something I want and they dont sell it anymore, I still consider $5 to be pretty good.
