As most of you know, I signed up to be a Stampin' UP! demonstrator a couple months ago. My plan was just to be a hobby demo to be able to get the discount, not a big deal. Well, whenever I'd mention it to people they'd want to know when I was having a workshop or stamp camp. So, I decided to have an open house/workshop kind of deal. I talked it up and had specials and whatnot. I even specifically asked people over the last week if I'd see them today. I had four people show up. One was my upline (for support), one was my upline's sister (who already has a demo in her sister), one lady from my MOPS group, and my friend Jenn. I'm very grateful that these four people did come but what about all the rest of the people that said "yes, I'll see you on Saturday"? I feel hurt and lied to about the whole thing. I just don't understand why it's so hard to say, "I'm sorry but I'm not interested" or "I'm sorry, I have other plans that day" or something; why do they have to lie about whether or not they're coming? And I'm not pushy at all! I'm one of those rare demos who will tell you to go get a 40% off coupon and buy your cropadile at Hobby Lobby. I just wish people would tell me the truth. I can count at least five people who acted all excited and told me they'd definitely be here but didn't show up.
Ok, sorry for my whining; just had to vent.
