Default How far do you go in sorting your ribbon/fibers?

First of all I use quart mason jars for less than a yard
I sort all single colors or a color with white for each jar. Example: All red ribbon, red and white checked, and sheer red all go together and so on.

I Have one jar for sport related ribbons, one for event themes like graduation or birthday or baby, one jar for girly/flowery, and 3 jars for fibers...I don't sort those.

All ribbons over 1 yard are kept on the spool thing they came on.

I like the mason jars look, but hate having to dig. Does anyone else have a better way?

I store mine on the spools for the most part. Loose pieces are separated by color and kept in small plastic jars which are then thrown in a hanging basket.

Mine are in mason jars also ~ one color (or color-ish) to a jar. So all the pink, or where the majority is pink in one, etc...

I don't separate by theme ~ just color

I have mine on a dowel if they are on a roll, otherwise if they are pretty short they go in a big pickle jar. I don't have enough room to do seperately otherwise they would be.
