Our church is doing a family fun night tonight, instead of celebrating Halloween and I was wondering if anyone else if doing something like that? It is always lots of fun, with a hay ride, and a cook out, and games for the kids and they get TONS of candy. They love it.

I don't know if you would consider this an alternative, but our church has "Trunk or Treat". The kids still dress-up and everything though, so maybe it isn't really a Halloween alternative, but a trick-or-treat alternative.

Our church had "Trunk or Treat" Wednesday night. The kids did get to dress up but in nothing scary. They had pony rides, a bungie jump, a titanic slide, and a hayride. Tonight we will not be trick or treating. I bought a movie to watch and we are baking cookies.

Our church did something Wed. night called "Joy Fest" which is an indoor carnival. There was different booths of activites....our SS class put on the "bounce house". There was a cake walk, basketball game, way more than I can remember to list....but it was a lot of fun. It's always a huge hit in our town.
