What makes you feel closer to God?

Listening to worship music? Praying? Being out in nature? Reading scripture? Anything else?

Praying. Even more so praying with a group of people.
I went to a Women Of Virtue Conference a few years back and there were hundreds of people there..... While praying with all of them in that same room I felt such powerful emotions; Love, strength, happiness, etc. It brought tears to my eyes.
When I pray, I feel peace.

All of the above...it just depends on my mood.

My new song that I love is called "Love The Lord" by Lincoln Brewster. This is what I strive to do with each day that God gives me.

Love the Lord
By: Lincoln Brewster

Love the Lord, your God with all your heart
With all your soul, with all your mind
And with all your strength
(repeat)

Chorus 1:
With all your heart, with all your soul
With all your mind, with all your strength

Love the Lord, your God with all your heart
With all your soul, with all your mind
And with all your strength

I will serve the Lord with all my heart
With all my soul, with all my mind
And with all my strength
(repeat)

Love the Lord… page 2

Chorus 2:
With all my heart, with all my soul
With all my mind, with all my strength

I will serve the Lord with all my heart
With all my soul, with all my mind
And with all my strength

Instrumental

Bridge:
I will love You (I will love You)
I will praise You (I will praise You)
I will serve You (I will serve You)
I will trust You (I will trust You)

Chorus 3:
With all my heart, with all my soul
With all my mind, with all my strength
(2x)

I will love You, Lord, with all my heart
With all my soul, with all my mind
And with all my strength
(3x)

Gosh, I would say a combination of so many different things. Some worship songs can just hit you a certain way as well as some sermons. We love our small groups with our Christian friends. My DH being involved is a huge plus. If he didn't believe the same way I do,then I don't think there would be any hope for our marriage. It is an everyday process. Reading the word everyday is so helpful to me.

I would agree that it is a combination of things. Sometimes, my prayer life will kind of dwindle and the next thing I know, I feel very disconnected. It's not like I have some sort of "aha" experience in every prayer, it's more of a daily walk that builds the relationship. Also, there are some songs that we sing at church that just speak to me. And other times, I can feel God leading me to be His vessel in a situation and say certain things or do certain things; things I would never have said or done on my own.

Nature.
Meditation/Prayer
Certain kinds of music drifting through an otherwise quiet space (home, car, etc.)

Travelling across the U.S several times and watching all the various landscapes change from (literally) state to state. I also found that by travelling to other parts of the world and seeing all the diversity and the beauty and majesty. It's a very spirtual experience for me.
