How do you make exercising a priority? Do you get up early to get it done or do you stay up later to do it?

I get up earlier on 3 days a week to hit the gym and 2 other days I go when everyone is at school (so I can sleep a little bit). If I don't get up and go early I won't get it in because my gym does not have childcare.

What time do you have to get up. I find it sooooooo difficult to get out of bed until the last minute. I really need to though.

I get up between 5 - 5:30. I need to be home by 7:45 at the latest.

I am so bad at this and need to start doing better.I can not afford a gym but we have weights and all kinds of things here we have bought to use.Need to make my self do it again to start the 2009 out right

I really don't make it a priority. I find that if I just have an active life style, I really have no problem maintaining my weight. I do jump on the eliptical for 5 minutes here and there when I am home.

I have to build it into my schedule.

This tip won't work for those who have to dress for other purposed (like work), but I put on my gym clothes 1st thing in the AM. My best workout isn't until early afternoon. The intensity and stamina I have as compared to early morning or evening, is like night and day. To keep me from getting "off schedule" or blowing it off, dressing for the gym 1st thing in the morning helps me. It is a constant reminder, all morning, of what I am getting ready to do.

This is something I'm going to work on this year, as I haven't been making it a priority before. My plan is to get up early 3 times a week and do it before work, and then at least 2 times a week after I get home from work. I just have to figure out how to keep ds (2 1/2) occupied for the after work time!

I consider it the only "me" time I have, and so I make sure that each day I have some of it.

When it comes to exercising, I try and get it in the mornings since my boys have school during the day. I cannot get my body moving at night (or even late afternoon) so I try and get it in in the mornings or it simply doesn't get done. When I don't make time for it, I feel guilty and honestly, my body starts to crave it. Strange, I know....but it does keep me accountable!
