How are you satisfied with exercising? For me - I need to sweat and sweat buckets! That is the only way I know that I burned some serious calories & did good for my body. I have found that if I don't sweat a lot I feel like I did not do enough!

I need to sweat too. I need to feel the burn while doing it. I also want to know that I did push myself. I treat every trip to the gym like I won't be there the next day (you just never know if your kids will be sick, or what the weather will be like, or if something just comes up).

I also LOVE the post work out high....I push myself for that feeling too

I have to sweat, too, but I also have to do something to really push my breathing. Not staying anaerobic, but I have to get myself to that level at some point to really know I pushed it. I have a good friend who is a marathon runner. She says her biggest challenge when running marathons is getting bored. Not exhaustion, but boredom. I think I am along the same lines (though not at all ready to run a marathon ). I can do an hour or so of cardio (jogging, eliptical, etc.) and never really push myself. I have to get to the anaerobic stage at some point to know I really pushed it. KWIM?

I can feel satisfied any old way. I am laid back by nature and I can feel just as good after I have walked around hilly neighborhoods for an hour as I do after I do a body pump class for heavy weights for an hour. I don't really like cardio very much and I seem to enjoy it better if I am outside looking at things. So I mostly walk for cardio. I will get on the elliptical sometimes.
