I have heard so many people say, well I can't exercise because this hurts or that hurts from this or that. And I turn around and offer other alternatives! For example, my mom cannot run due to a bum knee. So I gave her a powerful HIIT walking workout on the treadmill. Something to help her burn calories, stay interested & still feel like she is doing something!

Do you give yourself alternatives if you cannot do one workout or cannot make the gym, etc?

I am just a very active person. I rarely sit during the day for more than a few minutes at a time. I jump on my eliptical for maybe 5 minutes here and there when I am watching tv. I cannot due much of anything with any impact due to arthritis in my knees and ankles and Plantar's facitius in my feet.

Low impact is the way to go if you can't physically manage the force of running or using cardio equipment

Pilates, yoga, tai chi, etc. It's all strength and mind exercises.

If you can use exercise balls , it's a great tool to use for the entire body, including the core!

I do housework or yardwork Just being active helps with fitness. It doesn't matter how easy it is, as long as it gets your heart rate up, it's better than nothing!
