Smoking? I feel like beating my Dh LOL
I don't want to quit- but he wants me too- so I am trying - he is right it is bad
and frugally I could love having an extra 100 a month

I need some advice- or at least talk to someone else that feels as nuts as i do!

I wish you luck, but I'm afraid you will only be really sucessful if YOU want to quit. Dh had smoked since he was 13 and quit using Chantix because he was too the point where the wheezing and coughing was enough to make him want to quit. He got the starter pack for free from our doctor and that's all it took. It does have different side effects for different people. Good Luck!

Our doctor was given them by the pharmaceutical company, and she just offered it to us. Ask your doctor if he/she has any free samples of Chantix.

Dh had alittle nausea for about an hour after taking, and he had stinky toots. A coworker felt like she had mood swings on it...but I think that's just her.

I stopped in 93, the same day I started ww.

I commend anyone who quits, as it is a nasty and expensive habit.

I glad I never went back to smoking.

You can do it!

Good Luck!

My last day of smoking was my wedding day 9-97!! I was a menthol, two pack a day girl so I know what you are going through. I will say I tired several times, the patch, gum, fake cigs, etc, with no success. The easiest way for me was the way my Dad had been trying to get me to try (He smoked for almost 30 years before he quit), was Cold Turkey. It was the only way I quit, the other ways didn't help me at all.

I did it and I know you can too!! When you feel the urge (the car was the worst for me) find something else to do. Sing, chew regular gum, clean, etc. You will get through this, but YOU have to want to!! It doesn't work if you don't have the desire!!

Good luck and let us know if you need a pick-me up. ((HUGS))
