Christy, I know you got your boys a Wii last year. I'm wondering if you got the Wii Fit?

I'm curious because I am trying to determine if it is ultimately a beginner's exercise tool or if it could compliment an already rigorous workout schedule.

What are your thoughts on this? Or do any of you regular mind, bod & soul posters have opinons on this?

TIA

Megan - I have it and I think it is a great tool for more beginners, intermediate level. I only use mine occasionally and use it for a change. It is not challenging enough for me to use consecutively. My kids use it a lot for the balance things they have on there.

Hi there!

Yes we did get the Wii Fit with the Wii this year. To be honest, I haven't used it much. But I will say that the ski slalom is kicking my butt!

If you work out regularly chances are you are getting more from the gym than you will from this game, however, I do like the balancing games that it has and I do like how there is so level of skill required. It's great for families to play together and if you have kids that are gamers but sit and mainly use their thumbs all day long, this game is much more involved for them and it helps to get them off the couch!

I am just getting into the Wii Fit and I love it! As you go, more and more exercises are unlocked and the number of reps goes up.

Yeah, my wife and I just started using it after having it since last Feb. It is a blast to do, but I can certainly see how if you are already a gym fanatic you probably won't like it, except for the games, which are great fun.

The games are alot of fun, and it is really killing me, but if you work out on a regular basis then no it isn't for you.

Thanks for the help everybody.

I have some money my dad gave me for Christmas and I'm trying to get the best bang for my buck. I've decided to be selfish with the money since I always use it to pay down Christmas cc debt but since we have none (thanks to MS!) I'm buying something for me, me me!
