How do you refuel after you workout?

I know different things work for different people, but how do you refuel after you workout? Do you eat a piece of fruit, drink lots of water, eat a complex carb, etc. Or do you just feel so great you don't even think about it?
I am so bad about re-hydrating. This is definitely something I have to get better with. Definitely helps prevent a crash in a couple of hours.
