I have chosen to make 2009 a big year for me. I always get down in January (the whole post Christmas let down, mid winter and birthday blues all rolled into one) so this year I decided to make goals for myself that will excite me through the year

I want to try/do something different every month this year. Something NEW to me....something fun! I want to break out of my shell and just find out how exciting life can be ~ instead of moping around experiencing the same ole same ole

So far, for the month of January, I went to a FIRING RANGE and fired my very first 22 and 45 caliber gun as well as a 9mm. IT WAS EXCITING. Granted, I was scared out of my mind, but we did it as a couples' date night and made the most of it. The women, surprisingly, got really into it.

I also signed up for my first scrapbooking class. HOpefully this time I won't be sick and miss the class like I was in October!

February I'm in charge of couples' night out and have something fun to try then (I will write about it next month as to not to spoil the surprise)

In April is the OKC Memorial half marathon and if Dh is home I will finish it! YAY!!!

October
is the OKC duathlon and I hope to be able to train for it over the summer and complete it as well!

All of this before I turn 35. I am looking forward to how this year plays out!

What things would you like to try this year?
What is holding you back?

I've started doing yoga! I'm also going to re-start my Jazzercise classes, if my knee and back can take it (had knee surgery last year). I really miss it!

I have a list with a bunch of things I want to accomplish this year. I really like the idea of doing one thing each month. Much less overwhelming and gives me something to look forward to each month. I want to:
take a CPR class
work on the landscaping of our home (mainly taking out some dying bushes and flowers and replanting)
have a dinner party or barbeque or something (I'm shy and I'm funny about having people over, so if I can pull this off it would be a huge accomplishment for me)
get a family tree chart and write in everything I have so far
clean out our spare bedroom and make it a usable bedroom

I want to continue working out and step up the running, watched Spirit of the Marathon, it really boosted me, I would love to run miles and miles!!
Lose the weight!!
I have started eating more healthy, more whole wheat, Soy Milk, greek Yogurt, using the mantra of "if you cant grow it or kill it, dont eat it!"

Other projects, paint the house, sell the house, move across the country and become a SAHM mom!!!
