So I started walking on my treadmill about 3 weeks ago. I have walked every day except Sunday's, and I have missed a day here and there, but have managed to walk almost every day. I also have been increasing my water intake. Prior to that I was a couch potato.

So you always hear or read that exercise gives you energy. I'm still waiting for the extra energy to come. How long do I have to wait? How soon after starting to exercise do you start getting the extra energy?

I actually feel like I am using the last bit of energy I had when I exercise. Even DH has commented that I am tired all the time. It seems like it has become worse since I started walking.

Maybe there is something else going on. I'm just tired of being tired. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

Are you eating well on top of exercising? If you aren't, that might be the reason for being tired. You are using up all your energy for exercising, but not replenishing well enough.

Sounds like you need to see a doctor. You could have a medical issue that's causing your fatigue.

Disclosure: I'm not an expert. Did you have your thyroid and vitamin count checked? If not, it sounds like a check-up is in order. Also since you've just began your exercise regime, keep in mind, it takes a while for body to adjust. I sleep much better on the days when I do treadmill. Good luck and keep us posted!

Make sure you are eating enough to fuel your extra activity.
And I also recommend just having your blood levels checked.

Keep up the hard work exercising though!
