My resolution this year has been to eat REAL FOOD. Things that my great-great -grandmother would have eaten. You know, actual food and not chemical concoctions with a list of ingredients I cannot pronounce. What has helped me with this, is to try not to eat anything with more than 3 ingredients on the label. Try it for a few days and you may be freaked at how hard it is.....So far, so good, but what an eye-opener!

Yes it is an eye opener! I have been "eating clean" for almost 1 year - 90% clean 10% not and I have noticed a huge change.

I got started trying to do this after reading a couple of books by Cheryl Townsley. However, I have a husband and a son who are not enthusiastic about this so I am trying to ease them into eating better by replacing 1-2 foods per month with a better version. We'll never get all the way to eating 100% whole foods but if we get to 75% I'd be thrilled.

So, what kinds of meals are you preparing?

I have to laugh, because when I think of meals my grandma made, the two that come to mind are scrambled eggs FLOATING in bacon grease, and fried sunfish FLOATING in Crisco! I'm sure you mean healthier meals that don't come in a box!?
