Are there any all natural things you can do for high anxiety? Vitamins, extra of a certain nutrient in foods?

I am curious about this too.
I have pretty bad anxiety and I am not wanting to go to the doctor just have him up my dose again. Besides, I REALLY don't want to be reliant on meds for the rest of my life.

There are some herbs and supplements that can help with it. Don't take them if you are already on antidepressants or other meds for anxiety.

Are there any herbal therapies for anxiety disorders?

Do you know what triggers your anxiety? There's something called EFT (emotional freedom techniques), google and you'll find the info. Dh and I use it, and it's pretty effective.

Well just my personal opinion, but I don't believe there are herbs, or foods that will conquer anxiety. I DO think there are some behavioral treatments such as biofeedback or learning relaxation techniques or "self talk" therapies. However if anxiety is to the point of negatively impacting someone's personal life I would think that meds would be in order at least until they learned the behavioral techniques. I know some people with anxiety disorders and for the life of me I can't understand how the fear of a pill continues to prevent them from doing something to improve the quality of their life. Being edgy and irritable all the time is no way to live and is bad for those around the person with uncontrolled anxiety issues. JMO

First of All make sure you are taking a multivitamen and Any extra vitamens if needed. I am very anemic and have to keep my iron levels up , if not I am tired and we all know that things can never be handeled as well when one is exhausted. I also find I Do well with b vitamens and extra fiber - I just put benefiber with b vits. in my coffee twice a day.
Also Keep yourself hydrated , drink plenty of water , and try to go for a walk or get lots of fresh air daily.
I know they aren't quick fixes , I just know that when I take care of myself properly , everything else seems to not be as bad as I can think it is when I am not taking care of myself.
And I am the queen of anxiety issues. I have been on meds , I've been through Palpatations , numb hands and all that fun stuff. It is hard- ecspecially when you have to take care of the house and kids , and you want to be happy go lucky and carefree.

I used to be anemic I might still be. I used to take iron pills when I was like 17 but I didn't have any problems with iron when I was pregnant with Noah I was always above the normal. So maybe that is part of my problem.

You've already gotten some good advice but I wanted to add that exercise and cutting back on caffeine helps too.
