The only person I personally know who had this was relatively young so probably wouldn't have the mobility problems of your mil. I'm guessing she'll be about as mobile as before and really wouldn't need more than someone to maybe cook for her or bring her things for a few days. Someone would probably want to monitor her getting up to the walker (so she doesn't lose her balance) for a bit, just until she seems steady. I wouldn't expect it to be too much care. HTH
