I did a search of the forums and it looks like there are a couple of people that have had it done or know someone who has.

I am considering having it done and want to know if you were happy with the long term results.

Any info you would like to offer would be appreciated or send me a pm if you don't want to share with everyone.

THANKS!!!

I had it done a couple of years ago, and the results have been WONDERFUL!

I was having periods so heavy that I was putting in two tampons at a time and still bleeding through my clothes and cramping so hard that I literally could not stand up. And I was having a period every two weeks instead of every four. I had PMS that would make a harpy look like a hummingbird. I was miserable.

My OB/GYN recommended an endometrial ablation, and warned me that I would not be able to get pregnant after. I was not the slightest bit interested in ever getting pregnant again, so that was not an issue.

It was an outpatient procedure - I was in and out of the hospital in a few hours. I had a little bit of spotting and slight cramping for about a week after. They gave me a scrip for Lortab, but OTC ibuprofen was sufficient.

I no longer have periods, I no longer have cramps, I no longer have PMS. It did not affect my sex drive.

I too had it done and it really helped with the severity of my periods. I do still get a monthly period but it is very small & barely need any coverage. Very simple outpatient procedure and no issues afterwards
