I've had a pretty good week on Body for Life. I'm not following the diet portion of it to a T but I am making small modifications to my meals. I feel good about it....and I love that I'm back in the gym pumping iron. My one concern is the recovery time for my lower body work outs. With the have marathon coming up I'm going to take it easy on those work outs until it's over. Then I will be back to doing my thing.

I have a long run scheduled this morning and then we'll run again on Monday. I am hoping to push past 10 miles on Monday...we'll see how it goes. This week I may try some Gu or energy supplements. I keep hearing from different people how much of a difference it makes. So why not?

I understand mamaof3kiddies is in demo mode in her house...so I know she's working hard!

How about everyone else? How was your week?

We've been walking all dang week! I've even had to start jogging a bit because DD is on her bike and I have to keep up. AND we will pick up my new-to-me road bike today! It was in the shop getting fixed ... lets hope no one steals this one!

Great job Christy! I was wondering how BFL was going for you.

Yes pure destruction mode going on here - but happy to report, putting back together at this point! So excited to be able to clean & know that it won't get dirty from destruction!!! :-)

This was my first week doing BFL and going pretty well -- love the workouts! My diet continues to be my number 1 issue -- I really need to get to the bottom of that & my emotional eating!

Looking forward to a run outside today -- if the rain holds out!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Increased my running speed from 4.5 to 5mph today (5k) My goal is 6mph and then I will work on distance. Right now 6 seems very fast.

Ran 3x and did upper body strength training 1x.. I have a hard time making time for strength training. It was still a good week!

It's been a busy week with school and the girls being sick. I haven't been to the gym in forever but am running/walking everyday. I run for two mintues and walk for 2 minutes for 30 minutes. I'm really working on uping the time and then slowly run more.

Eating is good..I'm getting all my protein and have stopped snacking.

I'm down to 224 and doing good. My goal short term goal is 220 by June 1st, but will hopefully get there sooner.

Not a very good week here. I only exercised twice. It was cold and rainy all week and dh was away on a work trip. I had to do the egg hunt and party at my 3 year old's school today and I made the mistake of buying the candy early in the week so of course I ate it all week long. I bought a huge bag of mixed candy and half the stuff was too big to fit in the stupid eggs! Both kids are on spring break next week (we are staying at home) so exercising will be a challenge next week too.

As much as I don't look forward to summer, I will be glad to get back into my summer routine of getting up and working out for the first hour of my day. I can't do it when school is going on because of all the mom duties that are required between 6:30 and 7:30 AM, and then dh leaves for work. In the summer I just get up at 6:30 and put on my tennis shoes and get moving. Then it is done for the rest of the day. And then starting in the fall my youngest will be in pre-k and I will have 5 mornings a week to myself! Oh the joy....

You will get there....just stick with it. I used to run at a 5.5 and now I'm 6.6-6.9.
I understand that "finding time" thing....which is why I am loving having this new schedule with body for life. Three days running, three days weights. You should try something like that too

Easter is bad bad bad for that....I'm guilty of it too girl. Darn that Cadbury Easter Bunny and all his delicious mini eggs!

I feel like I started over. After six weeks being sick, I had a hard time getting back up to speed

I'll have to check out body for life, thanks!

It has been a good week, not perfect but good. I'm down 2 pounds but I've only gotten 4 days working out in so far (I plan on doing either today or tomorrow.) My eating alternates between super clean BFL or lazy...wish I could find a balance but overall I'm happy and must be doing something right because I feel strong and am dropping weight.

I have been doing really well with my eating I have been sick again and now I have and ear infection and pink eye. I have never been this ill in my life as I have been this past winter. The plus to this recent cold is I can't taste anything .... I mean anything so I have lost weight just becuase appetite is not there.

I will be starting the south beach diet back up as soon as my ill ness is over just beacuse I have really been enjoying my soups latley.
