I have an appt to see doc about depression. I am so not looking forwad to going. I think most of it is based on the marriage. I also got the name of a place to call for counseling. I still have to call but I have to PTM today, so it may have to wait til tomoorow.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I was on anti-depressants for 2 months and even though they say that it takes 6-8 weeks to really feel the effectiveness. I felt it almost immediately. The two reasons I quit are 1. I left my job and have yet to have insurance 2. I am big a believer in trying and work it out on your own. It was scaring me being on them. I almost think that I would be better on them now.
I hope things went well at the doctor. I feel your pain. Please let me know if you need someone to talk to. I am going thru the same things and my doctor recommended counseling. I simply do not have time. I have a dh that works 2 1/2 full time jobs and goes to school part time. He is NEVER home. I do not have babysitters. 2nd she highly suggest that my husband and I go together and he absolutely refuses to even think about it!

Good luck and please let me know if you need to talk.

allgirls,

I'm glad to hear that you have your appt. tomorrow. I hope it goes well for you. I understand that you are dreading it but try to think of it as taking a step towards getting 'you' back again. 'you' are not this sad, depressed, lonely, upset person. Even if your marriage is the main reason for how you are feeling, the only thing you can really change is YOU. You are taking a fabulous step in the right direction to get help for you to become the best YOU you can be. Good luck - we'll send good thoughts your way.
