What do you like about it? I have once again found myself with about 7 pounds to lose, I seem to gain 5 to 7 pounds once or twice a year around Easter or Halloween because I love candy and I have no willpower! Then I end up counting calories and getting really strict again and losing it, only to do the same thing in 6 or 9 months. It is like I figured out how to lose weight but I still don't have the keeping it off part down completely. Now I have to work extra hard to get the weight off in the next couple of months because I have to live in a bathing suit all summer. My jeans are TIGHT!

I did WW after both of my kids were born and liked it but never could get that last 10 pounds off until I started counting - and really restricting - calories. But I miss the weigh ins and I miss the feeling that WW gives you that you can just eat their way for the rest of your life. I'm looking for a good balance. Am I a good candidate for this new program, or do I know too much to benefit from it, and should I just suck it up and start counting again? I don't know, I kind of liked the whole "project" feeling that I got from WW....

I do WW for that very reason. The momentum is really just a re-packaged version of the flex plan. I need the accountability of the weigh-ins.

I really don't have a weight goal now. I am pretty happy with where I am, but I am not too skinny...by any stretch of the imagination. So, I just keep going and doing the program and when I stop losing, that is where I will quit. (Gee, I sound ambitious, huh? LOL) My leaders keep telling me I need to set my goal, but I don't really want to. I am well within my healthy range and I just want to keep losing (in small increments) until my body levels. KWIM?

Anyway, that is the long way of saying I like it.

I just re-joined last night.... I had quit when I found out I was pregnant with DS and that was over 2 years ago. I looked at the program and I don't think that much has changed (which is good because I liked the way it worked)

You still count your points and the amount of points you get are according to your weight.

I like it... and it works as long as you follow the program

From what I hear the new program is a combination of flex & core programs. I was successful in losing 31lbs with WW and felt great.
I'm at the point now where I am letting my "bad" side of my brain win over and grab that ice cream, or chocolate, or chips. I need the willpower and I know it will all come off

Thanks for the feedback. I got a WW thing in the mail with some coupons yesterday asking me to come back which was very random since I had just posted about it, and I don't think I have heard from them for a couple of years. They are offering no fee to join and the first monthly pass for $20. Does the monthly pass include meetings and weigh ins and materials?

Also how does it work once you get to your maintenance weight? I would like to get to the point that I could check in for free. I don't have that much to lose, but I just want to stop spiking up and down a couple of times a year. I need some accountability.

It feels like ever since I lost 30 pounds I am always thinking about my weight. It takes so much effort to keep it off and still shop and cook for 2 growing boys with huge appetites and a very fit dh that can eat a lot without gaining anything. I want to be on a more even keel with it all. In the last 3 years there has hardly been any time at all that I actually relaxed and didn't think about getting enough exercise and limiting what I ate. There has to be a better way.

The monthly pass includes meetings/weigh-ins.

In terms of becoming "lifetime", you have to choose your goal weight in advance, meet it, and stay within 2 pounds of it for a certain amount of time (maybe 6 weeks ? ) and then you will get your "lifetime" status. Once you are lifetime, you weigh-in monthly.

I am pretty sure someone on here is a leader. Hopefully they will chime in and correct me if I am wrong or, at least, clarify.

It's Claire. She's never on here anymore! I miss her. Thanks, that helps. So do you do the monthly pass or do you do the 10 week thing? That is how I used to do it, but this way the pass actually seems cheaper. I think a monthly check in would be very good for me.

I just joined today and am looking forward to starting the program. I have never done WW before, but have heard such wonderful things about it that I knew I needed to try it. I have a lot to lose so we'll see how it goes.

Monthly pass includes meetings, weigh ins, materials & etools. Once you get to maintenance you have to stay within that goal weight +/- 2 lbs for 6 weeks and then you are lifetime. You will not have to pay for your meetings again unless you are over your goal weight.

I too am ALWAYS thinking about my weight. And feeling guilty if I am not at the gym or if I have a piece of chocolate or whatever. I just wish I could be at a happy medium.
