I need to be on lovenox, a daily injection for my pregnancies, since I have antiphospholipid antibodies.

I noticed with the last pregnancy that I was tired, but I am even more so now. I know that it does have a ton to do with being preg, but I was wondering if the lovenox was an added factor?

anyone know?

Hey hon! Congrats on the pregnancy!

I was anemic through this whole pregnancy. They kept a close eye on it (hemotologist tested every month for the first six months, then every two weeks, then every week). It never got to be serious enough to need extra iron tablets, but it did have a huge impact on the level of fatigue. Also remember, APS can cause fatigue! I was a lot more tired with this pregnancy than my first one. Of course having twins had a lot to do with it, but I do believe it was also due to the APS. I don't think the Lovenox had anything to do with it. I think it actually helped. What dose are you on?

I am on 40mg once a day.

I don't know too much about APS, I need to read more into it. My iron is good, I have not needed an infusion in over 2 years, so I don't think it is that.

Nonetheless, I shall be tired! LOL

If you want to pm me your email address I can forward some emails I put together for other people on my support groups with links, books, etc.

With both my pregnancies I was really tired early in the pregnancy. It's all hormones! With my twins pregnancy, I stayed tired the whole time. If I didn't get at least a one hour nap each day, I was useless by 5pm. The last 2-3 months it had to be more like a 2-3 hour nap! But I was so huge just walking to the mailbox exhausted me.
