It's that time of the year! I personally don't make resolutions anymore, but in December all the magazines are full of 'resolutions' and how to lose weight in 2007, blah, blah....

When I did make resolutions, my first resolution was always to lose weight. Like all other resolutions, I was gung ho at first and then the novelty would wear off. I did make a deal with myself this year, not a resolution, but a pact a few months ago to "get healthier"....yes this includes losing weight...but with a healthy approach, no fad diets!

It's an anonymous poll, so you can be honest!

Why bother???? If you are really motivated you don't need a resolution to do it. If you are like me, it won't happen anyway

Well, my resolution isn't exactly for the new year, so much as it is about getting through the holidays and THEN getting on an exercise schedule. A friend and I are going to start walking at our chruch several days a week....but we both have to get through the holidays first...just too much going on before then!

I agree I just want to get through the holidays and all the yummy cookies and treats, and then go back on weight watchers, I usually just do it myself I don't attend the classes. I have only gained 3lbs since I went off the diet 4months ago. But I have 15lbs I want to lose and these last lbs are the hardest they just don't want to go away!! I see the new year as a fresh start!

Thanks for the article Christy it was very imformative. I'm not making a resolution on losing weight but I'm hoping I can start eating better. I had lost some weight before I got married and I was doing well. Scary part is that after 6 months of being married I've gained my weight back plus some It was so hard to lose it and then it just crept up on me. For my own health reasons I really have to find time to exercise as well.

I never make resolutions because I never keep them and then I feel like I failed...

I just make goals throughout the year and that is easier for me to keep going at them.
