Khaki's are always in style. Look for acouple pairs on clearance racks or Goodwill. Plus they go with almost anything.

I buy things on clearance at the end of the season so when that time rolls around again I have brand new things with the tages still on in my closet. Usually the same styles will be in from year to year and you can just buy one or two new things that are hot trends and you're ready. I have always made my own style anyway and mix old with new. Such as old jewelry with new outfits.

I just watched an episode of the RAchel Zoe project where she does a shoot for Marie Claire about affordable fashion. One of her suggestions was to accesorize to make outfits appear expensive. She said you could get a nice scarf to dress up an outfit that is very affordable, like less than $10, and you can also get a handful of bangles for less than $15.

I'm not much of an accessory person, but I really liked this tip! LOL

Got a great pair of boots and a cute jean skirt? Get yourself some fun tights! You can match them to your top and have a cute, fun and functional (warm) outfit! This is especially great for teens/tweens.

Go to Claire's and pick out a cheap buy nice looking necklace and earrings. Sometimes something as simple as that can change up a simple white shirt with pants.

I always love jeans because you can dress them up or down. Old Navy often has jeans on sale. I find a really dark blue pair with a nice shirt or sweater is great for holiday get-togethers as well as date-nights. You can dress-up just a bit and still be comfy. They are also really affordable!

That's a great good idea! Different tights! I need to focus on those for my daughter!

Check out a local arts and crafts show for some fabulous deals on handmade purses (think generic Vera Bradley), leather goods, embellished tops, and more. The jewelry at these shows is also economical and unique!

The jewelry at these shows is also usually very economical and unique! And, sometimes, if you go in the few hours before the show ends, there are major discounts to be found. Two years ago, one of the sellers had everything 80% off because she didn't want to pack it home!

My fave outfit for Fall/cold months here in CA is my Jeanstar Jeans that I got at Marshalls for $12, a button down sweater over a cute tee shirt and boots.

For my kids I get a lot of their clothes at garage sales, handmedowns from older friends and cousins, and the thrift stores.

A couple of close friends and I do clothes swaps for our kids each season.

Wish I could also do a Mommy clothes swap with my friends, but all my friends are much shorter than me.
