It’s fall again. With the chill in the air it’s time those cozy-warm sweaters and jackets; slouchy boots and jeans. But how do you put together the latest looks while on a budget? What are your secrets/tips?

I went thru my winter stuff, Saturday.

I had bought 4 jackets, 5 sweaters and 5 long sleeves blouses, from Kohl's at the end of the season last year. All total was less than $100.

I also keep classic pieces from year to year and update them with scarves and jewelry.

I update my white blouses each season, because I find myself wearing them a lot and they get dingy.

Vests and sweaters are a good cheap way to update your wardrobe. You can wear them with slacks, jeans, skirts and even with a dress and have several different outfits, from just a couple of pieces.

Outlet stores are a great place to get clothes at a bargin price.

As moms getting our kids to school without looking like a disaster is difficult for some. The pulled together gals remind us not so pulled together gals of this everyday.

I have had a solution that works every year! Always wear a scarf, even if you dont think it is awesome, tied correctly and with the right jacket will be.( go thru your old ones! best bet is to be the same color as your jacket!) Get a jacket that hids alot, not a short one. at least to the hip. Get a pair of nice looking boots. Tuck your ensamble in to the boots. Wear sunglasses with hair tied back and always lip gloss!

Underneath I have had on sweats or Pj bottoms or my yesterdays jeans. With the fresh hair, sunglasses large and bold topping your head and a scarf making you looked pulled together! I have been called glamorous! Who knew! Last year my only new addition to my look, I had my jacket dry cleaned!

I always go through all my black items and find the ones that seemed faded or off color and dye them-instant fresh black-I wear a lot of black so this seems to be a lot of items each time!

I am sure that most anyone who is looking at this website is a clearance shopper. I not only shop at T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, etc. but I find the clearance in those stores.

I am still building my wardrobe after many consecutive years of being pregnant and nursing, so this year my plan of attack is to fill in my collection of short sleeve shirts, and then add the extra outer layer of various jackets.

I recently had to purchase a casual outfit for an event, but within a certain color scheme. I was able to purchase a really trendy cropped jean jacket for only 6.99!!! I layered it over a long tank, and embellished it with some vintage looking pins I already had. I had a new outfit for next to nothing!!!

I love being comfy and looking fashionable. My idea of frugal and fashionable is to buy several different colors of long sleeve shirts. Layer them underneath short sleeve shirts from the summer or to dress it up a bit throw a sweater over it with a nice pair of jeans.
You can search thrift stores for inexpensive yet still good sweaters and jackets.

My favorite tip has to be to mix and match. Don't buy any one piece unless you can wear it with at least 2 other things. Here's an example of my fall staples. At any time, I can go in my closet and grab any of these pants, any top and any sweater, pair it with the boots and bag, and I'm set. The best part is that I don't even have to think about it because I know they all go together. The tops, were all clearance items- $5 or less, the leggins were $5, the jeans were $16 each, 2 of the sweaters were $14 and $16 and the Hollister sweater I got on clearance last year for $19. The boots were $39 at Marshalls. That makes everything seen here (except for the bag that I've had for a couple of years) $150 and endless possibilities!

I'm definatly a Kohl's clearance shopper and I have found some great deals on those racks. I always wait till I have a 30% off coupon, and I can get some decent jeans, and tops. I always try to mix and match them as well, and make sure I can wear a certain top with several diffrent pairs of pants or skirts.
