Sweets. I can eat candy all day and sometimes I actually do. For some reason, for the past few months, I've been eating just junk. Pizza, chips, pop, candy. And I think because of that, I don't have any energy to exercise. I use to do the 30 Day Shred every night. But it's been about 4 months since I have done it religiously. I felt so good when I was exercising and actually started to look good. I'm going on a cruise a month from today and would love to start a routine again.

I have a bad sweet tooth too. You should consider doing a protein shake or something.. I mix mine up so well that it tastes like a chocolate milkshake (no lie!) so Ill do half a scoop and mix in my other stuff (yogurt, fat free jello pudding, etc) blend it with ice and enjoy. With half a scoop I can do it twice a day! So I drink it slow.. lasts longer.. and by the time Im done I have avoided snacking on junk. Plus its good for me!

Girl, get back on routine. No better time to start than now! Try working out first thing in the morning.. get it done then you have no excuse to put it off like you probably would doing it in the evening!

I would say I struggle with food as well. I am trying to eat throughout the day now doing smaller portions. Exercise was a problem at times and I recently got a pedometer. That makes you a lot more aware of how active you actually are. So, I am hoping and praying that I am getting it together this time and will finally acheive the results that I have been desiring.

I struggle with health issues that kind of prevent me from exercising. I would LOVE to be in the gym working out. But at this point in the game, if I do too much, I seriously pay for it with A LOT of pain for days after.

I also struggle with my diet. I already have a restricted diet because of food allergies. Now add of top of that other things that are natural inflammatory foods (wheat, potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, soy, corn, etc.). Probably once a week I cheat and have wheat...pankcakes, cinnamon rolls, etc. I LOVE pastries!

I also struggle with planning out time to exercise. I try to "exercise" for 10 minutes a day. But I always get so busy with the day to day chores and life that I forget. Before when I was able to work out at the gym I had a set schedule that kept me on track. Wake up at 630am, be at the gym at 645, on the elliptor from 7-730am two days a week, weight training from 7-745am on the other two days, home by 8am to get my kids ready and off to school.

I struggle with all of the above!

First...I hate fruits and veggies. I mean HATE them.
Second...I am insuline intolerant....ugh
Third....I am so out of shape that I get sore very easily and there for I quit excersizing.
Fourth...I am a whiner! Hahaha....

Now seriously ......I am not sure where to start. How much is enough (excersize) and how much is too much to start out with? How do I eat healthy without choking down foods I cant stand? I have tried in the past only to give up after a week because I just cant stand the kinds of food.

Pedometer is an excellent resource. Have you ever heard of a Bodybugg? If you watch The Biggest Loser you've probably seen them on there. I always recommend them to anyone who is SERIOUS about losing weight. Its a armband you wear on your left arm and it tells you how many calories you burn throughout the day. Its awesome. It will run you about $250 but you can find good deals on Craigslist and what not. BODYBUGG :: WELCOME

Just be consistent.. and you will consistently see results!

Remember, weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. You HAVE to make exercising part of your routine.. not just something you "hope to get done" if you have a to-do list put it on top. Sounds like you had it going on when you went to the gym. If you arent going to the gym then I would make part of your morning routine devoted to working out. Its YOUR health! YOU have to make time for YOU. Its always hard at first.. but once you get into a good routine and make it habit..it becomes a lot easier.Trust me Having a restricted diet shouldnt keep you from eating good healthy foods. There are TONS of resources online for all sorts of diets.. a little research and youll be well on your way to a new menu that will get you excited about getting healthier and eating better

My best suggestion is taking the foods that you DO like to eat and figuring out ways to alter the recipe and make it healthier. You can do it with pretty much anything. Making little switches and alterations to food was one of the first things I had to do. I, too, HATED veggies.. the only one i would eat was corn. Seriously. Then I my friends TAUGHT me new ways to cook food that I had never tried before and NOW I eat EVERYTHING. I was raised with veggies out of a can. Gross. Start making small switches.

You need to find a work out buddy.. what I like to call a success partner. Someone that will hold you accountable and work with you to keep you going. If you dont work out at all..start small.30 minutes a day is perfect. Even if you are just taking a walk. DO SOMETHING. You will get sore.. you should be proud of yourself when you get sore it means you are working and building muscle! The soreness goes away! But you have to consistently work at it! You have to learn to turn that voice off that say 'this isnt cool.. Im sweaty and sore.. and this is too much work.. I could be sitting down relaxing..' just turn it off.. you know the exercise is good for you and think about how accomplished you feel AFTER a workout.. a lot better than that guilt of failing again! Get over it and start working to FEEL GOOD!
